Conference Locations
Fordham University’s Lincoln Center (LC) campus is located at the northwest corner of Columbus Avenue at 60th Street (113 West 60th Street, New York, NY 10023).
Events held at the Italian Academy at Columbia University are located at the northwest corner of Amsterdam Avenue and W 118th St (1161 Amsterdam Avenue, New York, NY 10027). Take the 1 train uptown from Fordham LC to 116th St station, then walk around the block to Amsterdam Ave by walking to 114th St. Once on Amsterdam, walk uptown until you reach the front entrance.
The CUNY Graduate Center sits across the intersection from the Empire State Building, on 34th St and 5th Ave (365 5th Ave, New York, NY 10016). From Fordham LC campus, take the D train downtown to 34th St/Herald Square and walk one block to 5th Ave.
The entrance to the Metropolitan Museum of Art is located on 5th Avenue and 82nd St in the Upper East Side (1000 5th Ave, New York, NY 10028). From Fordham Lincoln Center Campus, you can take the B or the C train from Columbus Circle/59th St uptown to 86th st station, transferring to the M86-SBS crosstown Bus and getting off at 84st/5th Ave.
The St. Nicholas National Shrine is located at the northeast corner of Liberty St and Greenwhich St (130 Liberty St, New York, NY 10006). To reach the Shrine from Fordham Lincoln Center campus, take the A/C/D/E trains from Columbus Circle downtown to Rector St station.
Airports
If arriving by plane, you can find hotels and conference locations in Manhattan by taking the MTA or ordering a ride-share service such as Uber or Lyft. Fordham University and the other conference locations are easily accessible from all the major airports in the New York metropolitan area: Kennedy International, LaGuardia, and Newark Taxi service to both the Rose Hill and Lincoln Center campuses is available from all airports.
- If arriving from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), take the Air Train from the airport to Jamaica station in Queens. Then, transfer to a Manhattan-bound E train and get off at 7th Ave station in Midtown. To reach Fordham LC campus, take the D train from 7th ave to Columbus circle/59th St.
- If arriving from LaGuardia Airport (LGA), take the Q70-SBS Bus service from the terminals to Roosevelt Ave/74th St, where you can transfer to the Manhattan-bound E train and take it to the 7th Ave station in Midtown. To reach Fordham LC campus, take the D train from 7th Ave to Columbus circle/59th St.
- If arriving from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), take the Newark Airport Express bus service directly to 42nd St Port Authority Bus Terminal. Switch to the A/C train uptown to Columbus circle/59th St to reach Fordham LC campus.
Traveling by MTA
The NYC MTA offers a wide array of public transit. The A/B/C/D and 1 subway trains all stop at Columbus Circle/59th St. Travel between conference locations will primarily make use of these train lines.
To ride the MTA, you can purchase an MTA card at most subway stations, or you can use contactless pay if you have a credit/debit card with the tap-to-pay feature.
Parking at Fordham LC
Reduced rate parking is available at Alfred Car Park (161 West 61st St.; 212-397-8949), Allied Garage (425 West 59th St.; 212-246-7220), Performance Parking (160 West 66th St., between Amsterdam and Broadway; 212-769-0134), and Regent Garage (45 West 61st St.; 212-245-9594). To receive the reduced rates, you must validate your parking ticket at the Front Security Desk on the ground floor of the Lowenstein building (113 W. 60th Street).
