This paper will discuss the degree to which the physical landscape of Acallam na Senórach reflects the Norman presence in Ireland. It will argue that one of the factors dictating the travel itineraries around Ireland of the main characters of Acallam na Senórach may have been a desire to feature sites important in both the Anglo-Norman and Gaelic worlds. The ways in which Norman ecclesiastical influence in particular is reflected in the text will be explored.
